About Hikri Companion

We care for you. Ready for you all the time.

Who we are

Hikri Companion is a Kenyan welfare-based organisation based in Kariobangi, Nairobi. For over ten years we have helped individuals and families put affordable cover in place — for funerals, for hospital stays and for accidents.

We started with a simple belief: cover should be within reach of ordinary families. That is why our plans start from as little as Ksh 100, why we register members wherever they are, and why a real person answers when you call.

Today our members include individuals, nuclear and extended families, schools, boda boda riders, chamas and community groups across Nairobi and beyond.

What guides us

Care first

Our name says it — we are a companion. When a member faces a funeral or a hospital stay, we treat them the way we would want our own family treated.

Affordable for all

Cover only helps if people can keep paying it. Our plans are priced for everyday incomes, with daily, weekly and monthly options.

Plain talk

We explain what a plan pays, what it does not, and the waiting periods — in writing, before you pay. No jargon, no surprises.

Community

We are part of Kariobangi. We hold activation sessions, visit groups and stages, and register members where they live and work.

How we are organised

Hikri Companion is a welfare-based organisation. For every plan we tell you — in writing — who provides the benefit, what is excluded and the waiting periods. Ask us for the registration or licence details of any plan and we will show you.

Our team

A small team of office staff and field agents runs the office and reaches members at stages, schools, chamas and community events. When you meet us — at the office or in the field — we introduce ourselves properly. That is the Hikri way.

Join the Hikri family

Registration is a one-time Ksh 200 — and a real person walks you through the rest.
